چکیده
This paper presents a fast algorithm to solve spectral estimation problem for two-dimensional random fields. The latter is formulated as convex optimization with the Itakura-Saito pseudodistance objective function subject constraints of moment equations. structure Hessian dual exploited in order make possible Newton solver. Then solver incorporated predictor-corrector numerical continuation method which able produce parametrized family solutions Two sets simulations are performed test and estimator. on frequency show that our estimator outperforms classical windowed periodograms case two hidden frequencies has higher resolution. other set system identification indicates more robust than Newton's alone ill-conditioned instances.

A Fast, Robust, Automatic Blink Detector
Introduction “Blink” is defined as closing and opening of the eyes in a small duration of time. In this study, we aimed to introduce a fast, robust, vision-based approach for blink detection. Materials and Methods This approach consists of two steps. In the first step, the subject’s face is localized every second and with the first blink, the system detects the eye’s location and creates an ope...

a phase-locked loop (pll) based frequency synthesizer is an important circuit that is used in many applications, especially in communication systems such as ethernet receivers, disk drive read/write channels, digital mobile receivers, high-speed memory interfaces, system clock recovery and wireless communication system. other than requiring good signal purity such as low phase noise and low spu...
A Fast Spectral Solver for a 3D Helmholtz Equation
We present a fast solver for the Helmholtz equation ∆u± λu = f, in a 3D rectangular box. The method is based on the application of the discrete Fourier transform accompanied by a subtraction technique which allows us to reduce the errors associated with the Gibbs phenomenon and achieve any prescribed rate of convergence. The algorithm requires O(N3 logN) operations, where N is the number of gri...
متن کاملA robust solver using a continuation method for Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation with degree constraint
We can assume that all components of x, y, u, v are nonzero. To see why this is so, suppose that the result was proven for this case and we were given four arbitrary nonzero vectors x, y, u, and v. We could transform them via a single nonsingular transformation T such that each component of T x, T y, T u, T v was nonzero (Lemma 2.2). Then for all Hermitian matrices P we would have (T x) T P (T ...
متن کاملA robust control based solution to the sample-profile estimation problem in fast atomic force microscopy
The atomic force microscope (AFM) is a powerful tool for imaging and manipulating matter at the nanoscale. An optimal control problem is proposed for the control of AFMs which includes the design of a sample-profile estimate signal in addition to the set-point regulation and resolution objectives. A new estimate signal for the sample profile is proposed and it is proved that the transfer functi...
